Can Tho University, the College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, organized the International Conference on Aquaculture and Fisheries on 17-18 October, 2024 at Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang province (Mekong Delta, Vietnam) (iCAF2024). The conference consisted of various technical sessions covering different aspects of the aquaculture and fisheries, especially on innovations.
Along with the technical sessions, Can Tho University and the AQUADAPT Program collaborated on two panel discussions at the Conference on 18 October 2024. The first panel shared perspectives on the role of innovations and aquaculture adaptation. The second panel discussed promising and inclusive Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in aquaculture. Both sessions aimed to contribute to conversations around sustainable aquaculture development in the Asia-Pacific Region. Various interesting ideas and issues about the two mentioned topics were shared among the panelists and the participants.
