Admission Announcement on Master Program in Tropical Aquaculture 2021

1. Aquaculture: Aquaculture program was first offered in 1976. It is a long traditional program of CAF. Aquaculture is a four-year program with a total of 120 credits. The program aims to instruct students with specialized knowledge in seed production and farming of freshwater and brackish water aquaculture species; with capability of doing researches; and with skills in farm management.
2. Aquatic Animal Pathology: Aquatic Aninal pathology program has been offered since 2004. It is a four-year program with a total of 120 credits. The program aims to provide students with principle knowledge in aquaculture; specialized knowledge in aquatic animal pathology; capability of doing research, skills in practices and farm management.
3. Fisheries Management: This program has been offered since 2006. It is a four-year program with a total of 120 credits. The program is designed to train students with general knowledge in aquaculture and fishing; specialized knowledge in fisheries management development; capability of doing research; and skills in management practices.
4. Fisheries Economics: Fisheries economics program has been offered since 2007. It is a 4 year-program with a total of 120 credits. This field of study will provide students basis knowledge in economics, aquaculture, aquatic products processing; specialized knowledge in aquaculture economics, fisheries socio-economics, aquatic resources economics, administration for production and business of aquatic products; capability in doing research; skills in management and consultation on fisheries economics.
5. Aquatic Products Processing: Aquatic products processing program has been offered since 2007. It is a 4 year-program with a total of 120 credits. The program offers students with major knowledge in equipments and technology for food processing, food materials and food safety; capability of doing research; skills in practices and factory management.
6. Marine Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Conservation: This program is a minor field of aquaculture program, which has been offered since 2009. It is a four-year program with a total of 120 credits. The program provide students with specialized knowledge in marine biodiversity, marine environment, management and conservation of natural resources and marine aquaculture; capability in doing research; and skills in practices and management of farms and marine protected areas.

ASEAN Fisheries Education Network - ASEAN-FEN

In order to strengthen and promote collaboration in education, research, information exchange as well as staff and student exchange in aquaculture and fisheries among ASEAN countries and with other international institutions and organizations for sustainable development of aquaculture and fisheries in the region, nine Universities including Can Tho University (Vietnam), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Nong Lam University (Viet Nam), Prince of Songkla University (Thailand), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (Thailand), Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia), Universitas Brawijaya (Indonesia), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (Malaysia), Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia) has jointly established and made the Declaration of the ASEAN Fisheries Education Network (ASEAN-FEN) on 30 October 2014 during the International Fisheries Symposium – IFS2014, Surabaya, Indonesia.
