Master Programs

 

1. Master Program in Aquaculture: This two year master program has been offered in Vietnamese at College of Aquaculture and Fisheries, CTU since 1999. The program was formulated with 60 credits covering 3 main blocks of knowledge. The program provides students the advanced and updated knowledge in aquaculture principles and practices worldwide, practical skills and capability of independent research implementation.

 

 

2. Master Program in Aquatic Resources Management: This two year master program has been offered in Vietnamese since 2000. The program was structured with 60 credits consisting of advanced and updated courses on principles and practice of aquatic resources ecosystems, assessment and management. Students are provided knowledge and skills to be able to work toward to sustainable management of aquatic resources.

 

 

3. Master program in Tropical Aquaculture: This program has been operated since 2016 and instructed in English under collaboration of 5 university partners in Vietnam including Can Tho University, Nha Trang University, Hue University, Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Institute for Aquaculture No.2. The program contains 65 credits covering the fundamental and specialized courses specifically in tropical aquaculture. Students are provided advanced and updated knowledge and practical skills to be able to develop sustainable aquaculture practices.

 

 

 

4. Master program in Aquatic resource diversity and conservation: This 60 credit master program has been newly formulated under the CONSEA project. The program aims to strengthen students with deep knowledge on aquatic biodiversity, conservation biology, environment impact assessment and ecosystem management and facilitate them to be proactive, creative and able to work and do research independently in conservation of aquatic biodiversity and resources for sustainable management of the ecosystems. The program is offered firstly in Vietnamese and will be expanded with English linguistic in an appropriate timing.

 

 ASEAN Fisheries Education Network - ASEAN-FEN

In order to strengthen and promote collaboration in education, research, information exchange as well as staff and student exchange in aquaculture and fisheries among ASEAN countries and with other international institutions and organizations for sustainable development of aquaculture and fisheries in the region, nine Universities including Can Tho University (Vietnam), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Nong Lam University (Viet Nam), Prince of Songkla University (Thailand), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (Thailand), Universitas Airlangga (Indonesia), Universitas Brawijaya (Indonesia), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (Malaysia), Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia) has jointly established and made the Declaration of the  ASEAN Fisheries Education Network (ASEAN-FEN) on 30 October 2014 during the International Fisheries Symposium – IFS2014, Surabaya, Indonesia. As the results, IFS will be one of important activities of the ASEAN-FEN which will be co-organized by the nine core universities every year. Please visit the annual IFS websites for further information
