1. PhD program in Aquaculture: This PhD program was initially offered in 2006. The training duration is 3-4 years. PhD students are trained to (i) attain comprehensive knowledge on the field related to the PhD research in aquaculture; (ii) be proactive, creative and independent thinking; (iii) be capable in leading and monitoring research activities; (iv) be capable to solve specialized issues at national and international scales/levels. The program requires 12 credits of coursework (for intake candidates holding Master degrees) or 31 credits of coursework (for intake candidates holding BSc degree), 3 specialized topics and the PhD dissertation. In addition, two peer-review published papers are required

2. PhD program in Aquatic resource diversity and conservationt: This PhD program is a sub-discipline of PhD program in Aquaculture and has been designed recently under CONSEA project. The objective of the program is to train the PhD students to (i) obtain broad and holistic knowledge on the area of Aquatic biodiversity and conservation; (ii) be proactive, creative and independent thinking; (iii) be able to lead and manage research activities; (iv) be capable to solve specialized issues at national and international scales/levels. The program requires 12 credits of coursework (for intake candidates holding Master degrees) or 31 credits of coursework (for intake candidates holding BSc degree), 3 specialized topics and the PhD dissertation. In addition, two peer-review published papers are required.
