Graduation Ceremony of International Master Programme in Aquaculture (instructed in English), academic year 2021 - 2023, within the framework of the VLIR-Network Programme
On February 28th, 2024, the College of Aquaculture & Fisheries (CAF), Can Tho University (CTU) held the Graduation Ceremony for 06 international fellow masters in Aquaculture (instructed in English), the academic year 2021 - 2023, within the framework of the VLIR-Network Programme. The master students come from Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, the Philippines and Tanzania. The Ceremony has been participated with the Rectorate Board of CTU, representatives of the School of Graduate, lecturers from CAF, families and friends of the masters.
For the welcome speech, A/Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh, The Rector of CTU shared about this special programme and highly appreciated the quality of the programme, as well as emphasized the internationalization of international students when coming to study at CTU. These are valuable opportunities to promote the quality and reputation of CTU to countries around the world. The Rector also appreciates the efforts and very good study results made by the graduates and is ready to welcome them back for further study or collaboration.
Also at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Ut, Rector of CAF, and coordinator of the international master programme, summarized the process of the training programme and learning results of the students, in which co-teaching and collaboration among teachers of the network university partner was emphasized. In addition to knowledge and skills obtained during the study at the university, the students were provided with opportunities to participate in field trips and internships at companies and research stations in the Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh City. This training approach has consolidated the students with more practical knowledge and experiences to adapt well to the working environment in their home country. The remarkable performance of the students was recorded with 02 students achieving excellent ranks and the other 04 at very good ranks.
